Yuanfan Chen

He is an AI Infra Engineer at Character.AI, working on inference optimization for production LLM serving. He completed his undergraduate and master's studies in Computer Science at the University of Toronto and Cornell University, respectively. With research experience at both institutions and professional experience as an AI Infra Engineer at Tencent, he has built strong expertise in Machine Learning Systems.

His research specifically targets system-level bottlenecks in large-scale model inference: KV-cache offloading, distributed scheduling, and hardware-aware kernel optimization.
